Our Projects
Qurbani (Udhiyah)
Our Mission
For so many years we have been distributing Adahi in the worst hit areas in East Sudan where our brothers and sisters who are stranded there barely find any food to eat.
Last year we distributed over 200 sheep to feed over 4000 refugees stranded in East Sudan camp, the majority of them forgot what meat taste like.
It was narrated from al-Baraa’ ibn ‘Aazib (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (saw) said: “Whoever offers a sacrifice after the prayer has completed his rituals (of Eid) and has followed the way of the Muslims.”[Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 5545]
A bit of project background
Every year for over 10 years we have been providing Qurbani (Udhiyah) for needy families round the east of Sudan.
One sheep feed over 4 families.
The price of sheep vary every year according to market value.
Who is eligable for Qurbani (Udhiyah)?
Shaykh Muhammad ibn ‘Uthaymeen (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: “Udhiyah is Sunnah mu’akkadah for the one who is able to do it, so a person should offer the sacrifice on behalf of himself and the members of his household.” (Fataawa Ibn ‘Uthaymeen, 2/661)
Almighty Allah knows best.
Virtues of Udhiya
The prophet Muhammad (saw) said: “There is nothing dearer to Allah during the days of Qurbani than sacrificing of animals. The sacrificed animal shall come on the Day of Qiyamah with its horns, hair and hooves (to be weighed). The sacrifice is accepted by Allah before the blood reaches the ground. Therefore sacrifice happily with an open heart.”
Whoever made a sacrifice with all sincerity, the act of sacrifice will protect him from hell-fire”
